Our Team

Cory Mims is the Founder and Managing Partner of GrayRock Investment Partners, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio value creation initiatives. He brings more than two decades of experience investing in and scaling middle-market businesses.

Prior to founding GrayRock, Cory was a Managing Director at Audax Private Equity. Previously, he served as a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at ICV Partners and was a Principal at TSG Capital Group. Earlier in his career, Cory worked in investment banking at Salomon Brothers Inc., where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in both New York and London. 

Cory earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.B.A. from Howard University.
